Bathroom Redesign
Michaela, feeling inspired by her recent trip to Morocco and the Mediterranean approached me to redesign her bathroom.
We worked together and created a bathroom which brought her recent trips to her East London home.
Using rustic materials and plenty of texture was key to this design. And original fixtures and fittings were repurposed to keep costs down.
A partition wall was created which dropped down to create a shelf, allowing light into this already small bathroom.
The wall acts as a shower screen, coated in a fully waterproof traditional tadelakt plaster which mirrors the adjacent wall.
Terrazzo inspired floor tiles by Claybrook Studio compliment the plaster walls perfectly, enhancing the rustic nature of this bathroom.
Micheala has a love for mixing old and new and collecting peices when travelling. It was important to Michaela to have the bathroom flow with the rest of the ground floor.
An oil painting and antique mirror was used to bring this space to life.
